Voltaire è un gruppo musicale tedesco di musica elettronica, fondato nel 1987 da Andreas «Andy» Schäfer. Il nome del gruppo deriva dal filosofo francese Voltaire. La musica di Voltaire è caratterizzata da sintetizzatori, drum machine e campionamenti, con influenze provenienti dalla new wave, dall'industrial e dalla musica elettronica sperimentale. Tra i brani più noti del gruppo figurano «The Power of Love», «We Are the Robots» e «I Am Your God». Voltaire ha pubblicato numerosi album in studio, tra cui «The Power of Love» (1989), «The Second Coming» (1992) e «The Future Is Now» (1995). Il gruppo è noto per i suoi concerti energici e interattivi, spesso caratterizzati da effetti speciali e proiezioni video.
