Il nucleo del gruppo era composto da Ill Bill, Vinnie Paz e DJ Big Wiz. Non Phixion è noto per aver introdotto un sound più oscuro e aggressivo nell'hip hop underground, influenzando generazioni di artisti successivi. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Devil's Advocate", "Judgement Day" e "Black Out".
