Il trio, composto da Cheryl James (Salt), Sandra Denton (Pepa) e Deidra Roper (Spinderella), ha rivoluzionato il panorama musicale con la loro musica energica e le tematiche femministe. Il loro debutto discografico, "Hot, Cool and Vicious", uscito nel 1986, segnò l'inizio di una carriera di successo.
