Onyx è un gruppo di hip hop statunitense originario di New York. Attivo dal 1988, il gruppo è noto per il suo stile hardcore e aggressivo, caratterizzato da testi spesso controversi e rime veloci. Onyx ha raggiunto la fama negli anni '90 con album come "Bacdafucup" (1993) e "Shut 'Em Down" (1995), che hanno venduto milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Il gruppo è composto da Fredro Starr, Sticky Fingaz, Sonny Seeza e Big Baby Scram. Onyx ha collaborato con artisti come DMX e Snoop Dogg. Alcuni dei brani più rappresentativi del gruppo includono "Slam" (1993), "React" (1995) e "Throw Ya Gunz" (1998).
