Eric Lynn Wright, meglio conosciuto come Eazy-E, è stato un rapper e produttore discografico statunitense considerato uno dei pionieri del gangsta rap. Nato a Compton, in California, nel 1964, Eazy-E fondò il gruppo N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) nel 1986 insieme a Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren e DJ Yella. Il gruppo divenne rapidamente famoso per le sue canzoni che descrivevano la vita dura e violenta della comunità di Compton, affrontando temi come la polizia, il razzismo e la povertà. Tra i brani più rappresentativi del N.W.A ci sono «Fuck tha Police», «Straight Outta Compton» e «Express Yourself». Eazy-E si distinse per il suo flow aggressivo e le rime taglienti, diventando un'icona della cultura hip hop degli anni '90. Nel 1987 fondò la Ruthless Records, che divenne una delle principali etichette discografiche del rap. Malgrado il successo, Eazy-E morì nel 1995 a causa di un'infezione da AIDS, lasciando un'eredità duratura nella musica hip hop.
