Sammy Hagar, all'anagrafe Samuel Roy Hagar (13 gennaio 1947), è un cantante, chitarrista e compositore statunitense di fama internazionale. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60 con il gruppo Montrose, raggiungendo successo con album come "Montrose" (1973) e "Paper Money" (1974). Nel 1985 entrò a far parte dei Van Halen, sostituendo David Lee Roth. Con i Van Halen registrò alcuni degli album più venduti della band, tra cui "5150" (1986), "Dreams" (1987) e "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" (1990). Dopo aver lasciato i Van Halen nel 1996, Hagar ha continuato una prolifica carriera solista, pubblicando album di successo come "I've Got Legs" (1997), "Red Voodoo" (2004) e "Sammy Hagar and The Circle" (2018). Nel 2008 ha formato il supergruppo Chickenfoot con Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony e Kenny Aronoff. Hagar è noto per la sua potente voce, le sue performance energiche e i suoi brani rock accessibili.
