Rough Silk è un gruppo musicale heavy metal tedesco formatosi nel 1989. Il loro sound si caratterizza per sonorità dark e melodie accattivanti, influenzate dal thrash metal e dal doom metal. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Roots of Hate", "Mephisto" e "Circle of Pain". Ferdy Doernberg, noto chitarrista tedesco, è un membro fondatore del gruppo. Rough Silk ha pubblicato diversi album tra cui "Roots of Hate", "Mephisto" e "Beyond the Sundown". Il loro lavoro ha contribuito a definire il panorama musicale heavy metal tedesco degli anni '90.
