Natas è un gruppo hip hop americano proveniente da Detroit, Michigan. Il gruppo è composto da Esham, TNT e Mastamind. Natas si distingue per uno stile musicale definito come acid rap, caratterizzato da testi oscuri e violenti e sonorità rock influenzate. Esham e Mastamind si sono incontrati durante il periodo scolastico all'Osborne High School, dove Mastamind gli ha consegnato una demo di tre brani. I due hanno poi formato il gruppo con TNT, amico di lunga data di Esham. Il nome Natas è stato scelto come simbolo della loro mentalità dell'epoca e rappresenta un acronimo che può significare sia "Nation Ahead of Time And Space" che "Niggaz Ahead of Time And Space". Il loro album di debutto, *Life After Death*, è stato pubblicato nel 1992 sull'etichetta Reel Life Productions di Esham.
