Freundeskreis è un gruppo hip hop tedesco formatosi a Stoccarda nel 1997. Il nome del gruppo, che significa "Cerchio di amici" in tedesco, riflette la forte amicizia tra i suoi membri fondatori: Max Herre, Don Philippe e DJ Friction. La musica dei Freundeskreis è caratterizzata da testi in tedesco, ma spesso incorporano anche inglese, francese ed esperanto. Il loro stile musicale fonde elementi di hip hop tradizionale con influenze jazz, funk e elettroniche. Freundeskreis ha raggiunto un grande successo in Germania negli anni 2000, pubblicando album come "Der Freundeskreis" (1999) e "Die Welt ist rund" (2003). Sono noti per brani come "Ich bin ein Berliner", "Wir sind die Besten" e "Das Leben ist schön".
