Def Leppard è una band hard rock britannica formatasi nel 1977 a Sheffield, Inghilterra. Composta da Joe Elliott (voce), Phil Collen (chitarra), Rick Savage (basso), Vivian Campbell (chitarra) e Rick Allen (batteria), il gruppo ha raggiunto la fama internazionale negli anni '80 con album di successo come *Pyromania* (1983) e *Hysteria* (1987). Questi dischi hanno generato singoli iconici come "Photograph", "Pour Some Sugar on Me" e "Armageddon It", contribuendo a far diventare Def Leppard una delle band hard rock più vendute di tutti i tempi. La loro musica è caratterizzata da riff accattivanti, melodie orecchiabili e testi che esplorano temi di amore, perdita e libertà. Dopo un periodo di pausa negli anni '90, il gruppo ha continuato a registrare e esibirsi con successo, pubblicando album come *Euphoria* (1996) e *X* (2002). Nel 2015 hanno pubblicato l'album *Def Leppard*, che ha segnato un ritorno alle sonorità hard rock degli anni '80. Rick Allen è sopravvissuto a un incidente stradale e, nonostante abbia perso un braccio, ha continuato a suonare. Ancora oggi è il batterista dei Def Leppard.

Il prossimo 3 agosto "Hysteria", album fondamentale nella carriera dei Def Leppard, compirà 30 anni. Per celebrare questa data, il gruppo inglese ha deciso di ripubblicare il disco.
