Hi, my name is Bobby and I’m fighting
The biggest fight of my life, is kind of frightening.
I used to have a head full of hair and now I’m baldy,
Try to keep it covered, get embarrassed if they saw me.
However, I’ve learned to embrace it,
Life and death situation might as well face it.
It bothers me when I hear ‘em complain about
The little things in life and I’m stuck and I can’t go out.
I’m afraid I won’t be able to pay bills instead of climbing this hill for real,
But they don’t understand my pain.
Momma in tears, grandma always praying,
But I’m staying strong and I’m fighting through it mentally.
Twelve years I’ve been on this earth and what it meant to me
Devastating news when I was in elementary.
Never cried and I don’t know why,
Some say I’m too young, but I’m still faithful for my life.

Wish I could do all the normal things my friends do,
Close my eyes and pretend to. It’s like heaven when I’m dreaming,
But when I wake up I’m just dealing with these demons, Lord.
Chemotherapy really, really scares me. Lot of pain, but I would not let it bury me.
I’m always tired and I barely have the energy,
But I put on a smile when my mother’s near me.
So she knows that her soldier is a fighter,
Tell her that I’m happy doesn’t make me a liar.
I just want her to smile, I don’t wanna stress her out.
Grandma’s kisses seem to always be a blessing now.
My birthday’s coming and hopefully I’ll be home then,
Hospital nightmare seem to have no end.
Regardless, imma keep fighting and this is not the end,
I got news for you, cancer, I’m about to win.
