Okkervil River è un gruppo indie rock statunitense formatosi ad Austin, in Texas, nel 1998. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da una forte influenza folk rock, si distingue per la melodia evocativa e le liriche introspettive di Will Sheff, il frontman della band. Il nome del gruppo deriva da un racconto breve di Tat'jana Tolstaja.
