Paul Frederic Simon (Newark, 13 ottobre 1941) è un cantautore, chitarrista, musicista e attore statunitense. Noto per la sua carriera di solista iniziata negli anni '70 dopo il successo del duo Simon and Garfunkel, Simon ha conquistato numerosi premi Grammy e un posto nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Il suo stile musicale abbraccia diverse influenze, dal folk al pop, passando per l'afrobeat e la musica mondiale. Tra i suoi brani più celebri figurano "The Sound of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Graceland" e "You Can Call Me Al". Simon è considerato uno dei cantautori più influenti del XX secolo, apprezzato per le sue melodie memorabili, testi poetici e capacità di evolversi musicalmente nel corso degli anni.
