Edge of Sanity è un gruppo musicale svedese di genere progressive death metal. Attivo dal 1989 al 2004 e poi riunitosi nel 2016, il gruppo ha pubblicato sette album in studio, combinando elementi di death metal con influenze progressive, jazz e persino elettroniche. Il sound complesso e sperimentale di Edge of Sanity è stato fortemente influenzato dal lavoro di band come Dream Theater e Opeth. Il frontman e principale compositore è Dan Swanö, noto anche per il suo lavoro solista e con altri progetti musicali. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Unseen" , "Crimson" e "In the Name of God". L'album di debutto "Within Creation" (1992) è considerato un classico del genere progressive death metal, mentre "Infernal" (1996) ha consolidato la fama del gruppo.
