Il gruppo è composto da rapper affiliati a Psychopathic Records: Joseph Bruce e Joseph Utsler di Insane Clown Posse, Jamie Spaniolo e Paul Methric di Twiztid, e Chris Rouleau. Dark Lotus è noto per il suo stile musicale dark e aggressivo, influenzato dal horrorcore e dalla musica industrial.
