(You are now listening to Young Chencs)
(Roddy run it up)
Real ones applaud and clap their hands together
Hate gets air, they stay down there and broke forever
It's light to get a man hit with heavy metal
A tonne of copper weighs the same as a tonne of feathers
Came into the scene as the golden child
Uh, we'll see who still will be around
Uh, and who's only here for now?
Uh, who's only here for now?
Uh, goodness gracious, check the status
I s?t pace, check my face, it’s so audacious (Y?ah)
They say money can't buy you class or buy you taste (No)
Still my place is big and spacious (Woo)
And I'm mates with all my neighbours (Hello)
They ain't fazed and I get favours on occasion (Yeah)
And I've been on top for ages like I'm ageless
I went through a hundred phases (Woah)
Till them wastemen and them Paigons
Recognise that they can't fade this 'cause I'm fadeless
So just add me to your playlist (Yeah)
Count your blessings, say your graces
It's okay to sing my praises (Calm)
Real ones applaud and clap their hands together
Hate gets air, they stay down there and broke forever
It's light to get a man hit with heavy metal
A tonne of copper weighs the same as a tonne of feathers
Came into the scene as the golden child
Uh, we'll see who still will be around
Uh, and who's only here for now?
Uh, who's only here for now?
What's the difference? (What's the difference?)
I've done the distance (I did it, I did it)
Full commitment (Full commitment)
Pure persistence (Yeah)
Gotta speak it into existence (Uh huh)
Insistence (Yeah)
Might be a little bit of resistance (Might be)
Might need a little bit of assistance
But you (But you)
Gotta keep grinding (Gotta keep grinding)
Gotta keep riding (Gotta keep riding)
Perfect timing
Keep a close eye and it'll all tie in (It'll all tie in)
Can’t stop trying, strong as a lion
Get your mind right (Yeah)
And I am solid as iron (Iron)
That’s why I’m flying, smiling and vibing
Real ones applaud and clap their hands together
Hate gets air, they stay down there and broke forever
It's light to get a man hit with heavy metal
A tonne of copper weighs the same as a tonne of feathers
Came into the scene as the golden child
Uh, we'll see who still will be around
Uh, and who's only here for now?
Uh, who's only here for now?
Il testo HERE FOR NOW di DIZZEE RASCAL è presente anche nell'album Don't take it personal (2024)
