Vile fiends of the Outer Darkness, They-Who-Lurk-And-Breed-In-Limbo, the Dwellers in Eternal Shadow unleashed through The Gate to That Which Lies Beyond! The Black Galaxy disgorges its malignant horrors! Mankind shall suffer inestimably at the hands of these sinistrous black titans of maleficent Chaos!

Far, far beneath the surface of this coruscating sphere, at the very heart of our mysterious globe, lies the true path to man's dark destiny beyond the heavens...
Bal-Sagoth è una band di symphonic black metal proveniente dallo Yorkshire, in Inghilterra. Fondata nel 1993, la band si distingue per l'utilizzo di orchestrali e cori che arricchiscono le strutture musicali tipiche del genere black metal. Le loro liriche spesso esplorano temi fantasy, mitologia e letteratura gotica, creando un universo sonoro epico e immaginifico. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Power of the Dark Lord", "A Crimson Shadow" e "Beneath a Blood Red Sky". L'album di debutto "Starfire Infernò" (1996) è considerato un punto di riferimento nel panorama del symphonic black metal. Bal-Sagoth ha collaborato con artisti come l'illustratore fantasy John Blanche, che ha contribuito alla realizzazione delle loro copertine.

Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.

E' prevista per la prossima estate l'uscita del docufilm "Iron Maiden's Lost Singer", che riguarda Paul Di'Anno, cantante degli Iron Maiden dal 1978 al 1981, che è venuto a mancare a fine 2024.
