Charles Aznavour, nato Shahnourh Varinag Aznavourian (1924-2018), è stato un cantautore, attore e diplomatico francese di origini armene. Considerato uno dei più grandi artisti francesi del XX secolo, Aznavour ha venduto oltre 100 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo. La sua carriera musicale, iniziata negli anni '40, si è caratterizzata da una vasta gamma di generi, dal jazz al chanson francese, passando per l'operetta e la musica classica. Aznavour era noto per le sue melodie memorabili, i testi poetici e la voce profonda e versatile. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano "La Bohème", "She", "Emmenez-moi" e "Que c'est triste Venise". Oltre alla musica, Aznavour ha recitato in numerosi film e ha svolto anche attività diplomatiche per l'Armenia. Nel corso della sua lunga carriera, ha ricevuto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti, tra cui il Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award nel 2018.
Charles Aznavour è deceduto all'età di 94 anni nella sua casa di Alpilles, nel sud della Francia.
