Running 'round like I never knew which direction I was gon' go
Found you in the space between everything I think I now know
I thought that I could just settle you, but wild horses don't slow
I learned that shit the hard way, don't blame me for that though
I asked you for a second and for a second hand you came close
But just as fast as the hour passed, you vanished, flash and be ghost
I just wanted to be with you now, but you're really with no one
Another cause lost to the sun, all burned up in the Sun
I don't even really want another chance (Nah)
I don't even care what's in the cards
Been pushing back right from the start
Acting like I'm too hard to scar
Trying to compete on who's the martyr
Laughing at us acting hard
Drop the gates when I'm not around
So when I come back, you just snap out of it
No matter what we do, it all seems inadequate (That's right)
10 years with you and half of 'em out of it
Singing songs up in the catalyst
Maybe none of this was an accident
It's my fault, I'm just a too passive
You know it's such a lost cause
The way you lead me on
You know I'm always on call
That's why you do me wrong
I'm such a lost cause
Why do you lead me on?
I'm, I'm such a lost cause
That's why you do me wrong
And I walked around this world try'na find the best of you
Played games just to get next to you
Try'na keep us all in a better mood, yeah
You know me, I was keeping feelings in a shadow box
You were bleeding 'em into a shallow spot
Play the game of Risk like a scattershot
Is this what they told me about in my young days?
Truest of loves now, something I cannot compare to the Sun's rays
Watching it come down, all of my nesting is melting like sundaes
Too tired to run 'round, so I'm laying it down on the ground 'til the drums play
You know it's such a lost cause
The way you lead me on
You know I'm always on call
That's why you do me wrong
I'm such a lost cause
Why do you lead me on?
I'm, I'm such a lost cause
That's why you do me wrong
I'm such a lost cause
Why do you lead me on?
I'm, I'm such a lost cause
That's why you do me wrong
