Canibus, pseudonimo di Germaine Williams, è un rapper statunitense di origini giamaicane. Attivo dal 1994, Canibus si è fatto notare per le sue rime complesse e veloci, spesso caratterizzate da una forte componente filosofica. Il suo debutto discografico, *Can-I-Bus*, risale al 1998 e ha visto la luce grazie all'etichetta di LL Cool J, Def Jam Recordings. L'album ha ottenuto un discreto successo commerciale, ma è stato soprattutto il singolo "Second Round K.O.", una risposta diretta a Nas, ad attirare l'attenzione del pubblico. Canibus ha continuato a pubblicare album negli anni successivi, collaborando con artisti come The Alchemist e DJ Premier. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi si annoverano "40 Acres and a Mule", "C.R.E.A.M.", e "The 9th Wonder".
