Ras Kass, pseudonimo di John Austin VI, è un rapper statunitense nato a Los Angeles, California. Attivo dal 1994, si distingue per le sue performance energiche e i testi complessi che affrontano temi sociali, politici e personali con una forte componente intellettuale. Considerato uno dei pionieri del rap underground, ha collaborato con artisti come DJ Premier, Snoop Dogg e Ice Cube. Tra i suoi album più importanti figurano "Soul on Ice" (1996) e "Van Serk" (2000). Alcuni dei suoi brani più rappresentativi includono "The World Is Yours", "Bumpy Ride" e "Nature of the Threat".
