Above The Law è un gruppo di hip hop originario di Pomona, in California. Fondato nel 1989 da Cold 187um, KMG the Illustrator, Go Mack e DJ Total K-Oss, il gruppo ha contribuito a definire l'estetica del West Coast rap degli anni '90 con un sound duro e aggressivo. Il loro album di debutto, "Black Mafia," pubblicato nel 1990, è considerato un classico del genere e ha introdotto al pubblico brani come "Murder Rap" e "The Law." Above The Law ha collaborato con numerosi artisti importanti, tra cui Snoop Dogg e Dr. Dre, contribuendo a plasmare la scena musicale californiana di quell'epoca.
