Karen Clark Sheard, all'anagrafe Karen Valencia Clark, è una cantante, compositrice e musicista gospel statunitense nata a Detroit, Michigan, il 2 ottobre 1957. È la figlia di Mattie Moss Clark e sorella di Dorinda Clark-Cole e Twinkie Clark. È nota per il suo potente canto e le sue performance emozionanti. Ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'interno del gruppo familiare The Clark Sisters, con cui ha raggiunto un grande successo negli anni '80 e '90. Nel 1987 ha lanciato la sua carriera solista con l'album "You Brought the Sunshine", che ha ottenuto un immediato successo.
