Face I live with
Always be there
Face I live with
Abcess memory with broken fingers
All the fallen down angels
Raw pain distressIt's all in the way we know that we could have it all
Some satellites of pain can't always be ignored
War on all sides
War on all sides
Drink life as it comes
Straight no chaser
Drink life as it comes
Straight no chaser
Climb inside you
Away from strangers
Building a system of alleys and motorwaysIt's all in the way that we know we could have it all
Some satellites of pain can't always be ignoredIt's all in the face of what we thought we knew before
War on all sides
War on all sides

Keep on driving
Hair left morning wetThere's nothing like losing youThere's nothing like losing youThere's nothing like losing you10: SwallowedWarm sun, feed me up andI'm leery loaded up
Loathing for a change
And I slip some boil away
Swallowed followed, heavy about everything
But my love
Swallowed sorrowedI'm with everyone and yet not just wanted to be myself
Hey you said that you would love to try some
Hey you said you would love to die some in the middle of a worm on a fish hookYou're the wave you're the wave you're the wave
Swallowed borrowed
Heavy about everything
But my love
Swallowed hollowed
Sharp about everyone
But yourself
Swallowed oh noI'm with every one and yet notI'm with everyone and you're notI'm on everyone and yet
Piss on self-esteemForward
Busted knee
Sick head
Blackened lungs
And I'm a simple selfish son
Swallowed followed
Swallowed oh noI'm with everyone and yet not
Got to get away from here
I miss the one that I love a lot
I miss the one that I love a lot.11: SynapseI don't mind this.
Deaf again.
Just a skinfull.
What we choose to forget.
Thinking you know.
Thinking you see all sides.
Crossing a stone from your hand.
Ya right.
Hell is where the heart is.
Synapse again. There's nothing more I can do.
I havn't done again.
I never wanted nothing wrong.
Taking a cue from seven days.I'll bet you never listened.
Burning holes in all your clothes.
Razorblade suitcase.
All the tricks of the trade.
Favourite ways you can lose.
Favourite ways you can hate.
Hell is where the heart is.
Synapse again. There's nothing more I can do.
I havn't done it again, I havn't done it again.
I never wanted nothing wrong.
Taking a cue from better days.I'll bet you never glistened.
Burning holes in all your clothes.
Burning holes in all your clothes.
Hell is where the heart is.
Synapse again. There's nothing more I can do.
I havn't done it again.

British rock band Bush always had more success in the US than in their home country. The UK was swept up in Britpop fever in the mid-90s, so Bush found more fans in America where grunge bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were more popular than groups like Oasis or Blur. Five singles were released off Bush's debut album Sixteen Stone (1994) for the American market, and each went Top 5 in the Modern Rock Chart. The album went on to sell six million copies in the US. Follow-up Razorblade Suitcase (1996) went to No.1 on the Billboard album chart, and the lead single "Swallowed" topped the Modern Rock chart for seven weeks. It even reached No.7 in the UK singles chart, introducing many Brits to this homegrown band who were already superstars across the pond. Despite "Swallowed" being their most successful single, Razorblade Suitcase sold half as many copies as their debut album: a still impressive total three million. Third album The Science Of Things (1999) sold two million, and final album Golden State (2001) sold less than 400,000 in the US. The band split soon after.
