Temptations of christ

Jesus was led by the Spirit to prepare for the temptations ahead
After forty days and forty nights the tempter came and said
"If You are the Son of God (if You are the Son of God) tell these stones to become bread"
"Man doesn't live by bread alone but with every word from the mouth of God"

Jesus was led by the Devil to the holy city that day
At the highest point of the temple the tempter came and said
"If You are the Son of God (if You are the Son of God) throw Yourself down and You won't be harmed"
"I know there are angels to break my fall but I will not test the Lord my God"

Again He was led by the Devil to the mountain top that day
He showed Him the world and the kingdoms that were and the tempter came and said
"If You bow to me Son of God (if You are the Son of God) I will give You everything"
"Away from me Satan I've passed your temptation there are people out there and I'm going to save them"

The tempter came to him and said, 'If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.' Jesus answered, 'It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'' Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 'If you are the Son of God,' he said, 'throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'' Jesus answered him, 'It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 'All this I will give you,' he said, 'if you will bow down and worship me.'" Matthew 4:1-9

'If you are the Son of God,' he said, 'throw yourself down from here. For it is written: ''He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'' Jesus answered, 'It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.''" Luke 4:1-12
