Chubb Rock, pseudonimo di Richard Simpson, è un rapper statunitense nato a Brooklyn, New York, nel 1964. Attivo dal tardo anni '80 fino al primo decennio del XXI secolo, Chubb Rock ha raggiunto il successo con l'album d'esordio *“True Love”* (1991), che ha venduto oltre un milione di copie negli Stati Uniti. Il suo stile musicale si caratterizza per una combinazione di rap old school e nuove sonorità hip hop, spesso accompagnato da testi ironici e divertenti. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano *“Treat 'Em Right”*, *“I'm a Chubb Rock”* e *“The Beat Goes On”*.
