Lou Reed (Lewis Allan Reed; 2 marzo 1942 – 27 ottobre 2013) è stato un cantautore, chitarrista e poeta statunitense. Considerato uno dei pionieri del rock sperimentale e della musica punk, Reed ha raggiunto fama internazionale come frontman dei Velvet Underground negli anni '60. Dopo la dissoluzione del gruppo, ha intrapreso una carriera solista di grande successo, esplorando temi controversi come l'eroina, la sessualità e la marginalità sociale.
