Dr. Dre, pseudonimo di Andre Romelle Young, è un musicista, produttore discografico ed imprenditore statunitense nato a Compton, California, nel 1965. Considerato uno dei pionieri del genere gangsta rap e della West Coast hip hop, Dr. Dre ha avuto un impatto significativo sulla musica contemporanea. Iniziò la sua carriera come DJ negli anni '80, collaborando con artisti come N.W.A. e Eazy-E. Nel 1992 fondò Death Row Records, un'etichetta discografica che lanciò carriere di successo di artisti come Snoop Dogg e Tupac Shakur. Nel 1996 lasciò Death Row Records per fondare Aftermath Entertainment, con cui ha prodotto album di grande successo come *The Chronic* (1992) e *2001* (1999). Dr. Dre è noto per il suo stile musicale caratterizzato da beat pesanti, campionamenti funk e un approccio innovativo alla produzione hip hop. Oltre alla musica, ha anche intrapreso una carriera di successo come imprenditore, fondando Beats Electronics, un'azienda che produce cuffie e altoparlanti di alta qualità.
