Billy Talent è una rock band canadese formatasi nel 1993 con il nome originale di Pezz. I membri, che si conoscevano fin dalle scuole superiori, registrarono alcuni demo prima del loro primo album ufficiale del 1998. Il disco, intitolato *Watoosh!*, fu pubblicato indipendentemente e ottenne un discreto successo locale, ma non riuscì a raggiungere una popolarità nazionale. Nel 2003, il gruppo cambiò nome in Billy Talent e pubblicò l'album *Billy Talent*, che segnò la svolta per la band. Con successivi album come *Up Against the Wall* (2006) e *Billy Talent III* (2009), hanno conquistato un seguito internazionale, diventando uno dei gruppi rock più importanti del Canada.
