Death Cab for Cutie è un gruppo indie rock americano formatosi a Bellingham, Washington nel 1997. Il gruppo è composto da Benjamin Gibbard (voce, chitarra), Chris Walla (chitarra, produzione), Nick Harmer (basso) e Jason McGerr (batteria). Considerati uno dei pilastri del movimento indie rock degli anni 2000, Death Cab for Cutie sono noti per le loro melodie malinconiche e i testi introspettivi che esplorano temi come l'amore, la perdita e il senso di isolamento. Il loro album più famoso è probabilmente *Transatlanticism* (2003), ma hanno anche ottenuto successo con album come *Plans* (2005) e *Codes and Keys* (2011). Tra i brani più rappresentativi si possono citare «Soul Meets Body», «I Will Follow You into the Dark» e «The Sound of Settling».
