Roger Waters, all'anagrafe George Roger Waters, è un cantautore, musicista e compositore britannico nato a Great Horwood, Buckinghamshire, il 6 settembre 1943. È noto soprattutto come bassista e cofondatore dei Pink Floyd, con cui ha raggiunto fama mondiale negli anni '70 grazie a album iconici come *The Dark Side of the Moon* (1973), *Wish You Were Here* (1975) e *Animals* (1977). Waters è stato il principale autore di testi e musiche dei Pink Floyd fino al 1985, quando ha lasciato la band a causa di contrasti interni. Dopo la sua uscita dai Pink Floyd, Waters ha intrapreso una carriera solista di successo, pubblicando album come *The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking* (1984), *Radio K.A.O.S.* (1987) e *Amnesiac* (2001).
