Brand Nubian è un gruppo hip hop originario di New Rochelle, New York, formato da tre rapper: Grand Puba (nato Maxwell Dixon il 4 marzo 1966), Sadat X (in precedenza Derek X, nato Derek Murphy il 29 dicembre 1968) e Lord Jamar (nato Lorenzo Dechalus il 17 settembre 1968), insieme a due DJ: DJ Alamo e DJ Sincere. Il loro album di debutto, *One for All*, è considerato uno degli album hip hop alternativi più popolari e acclamati degli anni '90, noto per i suoi contenuti socialmente consapevoli e politicamente impegnati, ispirati dagli insegnamenti della Nazione di Dei e Terre. Il gruppo ha continuato a pubblicare musica fino al 2010, mantenendo un seguito fedele grazie alla sua musica incisiva e all'approccio spirituale.
