The Roots è un gruppo hip hop statunitense formatosi a Filadelfia nel 1987. Il nucleo fondante del gruppo è composto dal rapper Black Thought e dal batterista e produttore Questlove, che hanno collaborato con diversi musicisti, cantanti ed MCs nel corso degli anni.
