Zap Mama è un gruppo musicale belga fondato nel 1991 dall'artista Marie Daulne, nata da padre belga e madre congolese. La formazione, inizialmente incentrata su esecuzioni a cappella, ha sviluppato un repertorio che fonde influenze pop, africane e statunitensi. Il loro stile vocale polifonico e le sonorità tradizionali africane hanno conquistato un pubblico internazionale, portandoli a collaborare con artisti di fama mondiale come Peter Gabriel e Youssou N'Dour. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano «Soweto», «Adiemus» (in collaborazione con Karl Jenkins) e «Mama». L'album di debutto, omonimo, risale al 1993 e ha segnato l'inizio di una carriera ricca di successi.
