Jump up in the morning
Got a feeling that it's going my way
We're gonna make it on time
I gotta backstage pass
That I stole from the dash
Of a Trans Am from '79
It had 3 ton speakers
2 way mirrors
Goddamn now we're talking design
Anything to get me in
I'll do dance with a grin
If you think that it'll get me by
Coming in hot
With a little bit of rocking
And a friend who keeps smoking a bowl
When the guard says stop
You gotta take your shot
You either do it or you got to fold 'cause
Today you got today
You got today you got today
Because tomorrow ain't around to make it better
Today you got today
You got today you got today
Because tomorrow ain't around to make it better
Best good looking woman
Looking at you
While you're looking at the bottom of yer shoes
You gotta wake up just a little
Like you're shot from a pistol
You gotta do whatcha gotta do
You know what feels right
When the fruit gets ripe
Saddle up and take a roll of the dice
Whatever it yields
You conquered your fears
You already won no matter the price
Let's say it's something beautiful
And love will open doors
Or who cares if she's a firecracker
And the two of you go to war 'cause
Today you got today
You got today you got today
Because tomorrow ain't around to make it better
Today you got today
You got today you got today
Because tomorrow ain't around to make it better
One thing I've learned the iron does get hot
Now it's up to you if you wanna strike that pot
Ain't no guarantees in life, do nothing it's all you'll own
And when they throw that punch at you you gotta make sure that you...
Roll
Today you got today
You got today you got today
Because tomorrow ain't around to make it better
May all seem so innocent
Things happen by accident
The road less traveled often leads to glory
Nothing happens when you're still
Take a step swallow the pill
Today might be the day you get your hooks in
Today you got today
You got today you got today
Because tomorrow ain't around to make it better
