Arcade Fire è un gruppo musicale canadese formatosi a Montreal nel 2001. Composto da Win Butler (voce, chitarra), Régine Chassagne (voce, tastiere, percussioni) e altri musicisti, il gruppo ha raggiunto fama internazionale con l'album di debutto *Funeral* (2004), un lavoro acclamato dalla critica che ha esplorato temi come la perdita, la nostalgia e la speranza. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da una combinazione di indie rock, post-rock, folk e elementi sperimentali, spesso accompagnati da arrangiamenti orchestrali complessi. Funeral* è stato seguito da altri album di successo come *Neon Bible* (2007), *The Suburbs* (2010) e *Reflektor* (2013). Arcade Fire è noto per i suoi concerti energici e coinvolgenti, spesso caratterizzati da un'atmosfera teatrale e da una forte interazione con il pubblico. Il gruppo ha vinto numerosi premi, tra cui quattro Grammy Awards.
L'album è stato registrato a Los Angeles, come i primi due della band che, diversamente, ha sempre fatto campo base a Nashville.
