The Church è un gruppo musicale australiano di genere rock psichedelico originario di Sydney, formatosi nel 1978. Considerati uno dei gruppi più influenti del movimento post-punk australiano, hanno raggiunto popolarità internazionale negli anni '80 con album come "After Everything" e "Priest = Aura". Il loro sound è caratterizzato da atmosfere cupe e introspettive, riff di chitarra evocativi e testi poetici. Il gruppo ha attraversato diverse fasi stilistiche nel corso della sua lunga carriera, esplorando elementi di synth-pop, shoegaze e ambient.
