Dr. Octagon è un rapper e produttore musicale statunitense noto per il suo stile unico che fonde hip hop alternativo, acid rap, trip hop ed elementi sperimentali. Il suo vero nome è Dan the Automator, già famoso per le sue collaborazioni con artisti come Gorillaz e Deltron 3030. Dr. Octagon debutta nel 1996 con l'album "Dr. Octagonecologyst", un lavoro innovativo che ha anticipato molte delle tendenze musicali degli anni successivi. L'album è caratterizzato da testi surreali e ironici, campionamenti creativi e una produzione complessa e raffinata.
