Islands è un gruppo musicale indie rock canadese formatosi nel 2005 a Vancouver. Il nucleo del gruppo è costituito da Nick Thorburn (voce, chitarra) e Jaime Tambeu (basso). Il loro sound è caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, testi introspettivi e una combinazione di influenze indie pop, psichedelia e rock alternativo. Tra i loro album più noti figurano "Vapours" (2006), "Return to the Sea" (2008) e "Arm's Way" (2010). Islands ha collaborato con artisti come The New Pornographers e Broken Social Scene. Il gruppo si è sciolto nel 2013, ma Nick Thorburn continua a produrre musica sotto il nome Islands.
