David Byrne (nato il 14 maggio 1952) è un musicista e artista scozzese-americano, principalmente noto per essere stato membro fondatore e principale compositore del gruppo new wave americano Talking Heads, attivo dal 1975 al 1991. Dopo lo scioglimento dei Talking Heads, Byrne ha intrapreso una carriera solista di successo, pubblicando album e collaborando con artisti provenienti da diversi generi musicali. Oltre alla musica, Byrne si è cimentato in diverse forme d'arte, tra cui il cinema, la fotografia, l'opera e i progetti online. Ha vinto premi prestigiosi come Grammy, Oscar e Golden Globe. Nel 2002, insieme ai Talking Heads, è stato introdotto nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tra le sue canzoni più rappresentative ricordiamo "Once in a Lifetime", "Psycho Killer" e "Burning Down the House".
