Björk Guðmundsdóttir, nota semplicemente come Björk, è una cantautrice, compositrice, produttrice discografica, attrice e attivista islandese. Considerata una delle artiste più innovative e influenti del panorama musicale contemporaneo, Björk ha conquistato fama internazionale con la sua musica sperimentale che fonde elementi elettronici, jazz, ambient e classica. Nata a Reykjavík nel 1965, inizia la sua carriera musicale all'età di 11 anni con il gruppo punk Tappi Tíkarrass. Nel 1977 forma il gruppo The Sugarcubes, che raggiunge un discreto successo internazionale negli anni '80.
