I been livin' with your ghost and then I get a text, say you thought of me
I know we been here before, but now I don't expect an apology
'Cause I don't wanna waste my time, Lord knows we've tried
This fire ain't because of me
And I can only hope one day you find out who you wanna be
I wish that you could remember when you asked me what it takes to get this far
You make it sound like forever is a bad thing and I'm tryin' too damn hard
So take a look in the mirror, in the mirror, for the you you're looking for
Just take a look in the mirror, in the mirror, if you're so unsure
Just take a look in the mirror
Yeah, yeah
Just take a look in the mirror
On the wall, you the fairest of them all
Every time I leave, wish I never got involved, no
Fairytales, got us wishin' on a star
But I can't be the only reason when it fall apart
No, no, I know
Bitter pill to swallow
You know, I know
Used to be wherever you go, I go
Once upon a time (Yeah)
But time ain't on our side
And I wish that you could remember
I wish that you could remember when you asked me what it takes to get this far
You make it sound like forever is a bad thing and I'm tryin' too damn hard
So take a look in the mirror, in the mirror, for the you you're looking for
Just take a look in the mirror, in the mirror, if you're so unsure
Just take a look in the mirror
Yeah, yeah
Just take a look in the mirror
Yeah, yeah
Just take a look in the mirror
Just take a look in the mirror
Yeah, yeah
Used to always say that when our time came, we'd run and never look behind
But then, one gets blamed and the whole things change into something we don't recognise
See the red lights flashin', we can read the signs (Yeah, yeah)
I'm in over my head tryna read your mind (Yeah, yeah)
And I know, I know it's my fault as well
But I can't save you from yourself
I wish that you could remember when you asked me what it takes to get this far
You make it sound like forever is a bad thing and I'm tryin' too damn hard (Yeah, yeah)
So take a look in the mirror, in the mirror, for the you you're looking for
Just take a look in the mirror (Yeah, yeah), in the mirror, if you're so unsure
Just take a look in the mirror
