Deinonychus è stata una band di doom metal olandese formatasi nel 1992 da Marco Kehren. La band ha avuto un legame stretto con la formazione tedesca Bethlehem: Kehren ha fornito i cori per gli album *S.U.I.Z.I.D.*, *Reflektionen aufs Sterben* e *Profane Fetmilch lentzt elf krank*, mentre il bassista e paroliere di Bethlehem, Jurgen Bartsch, si è unito a Deinonychus nel 2005. I primi tre album e le demo iniziali rilasciate come *After the rain falls...an empty sky remains* vedono Kehren suonare tutti gli strumenti e cantare. Nel 1999's *Deinonychus* è stato coinvolto il batterista dei Cradle of Filth, William Sarginson, mentre nel 2002's *Mournument* la band ha registrato con una formazione completa. La band ha annunciato lo scioglimento nel settembre 2008.
Nella terza edizione di "Nuova Scena", talent dedicato al mondo rap in onda su Netflix, si sono aggiudicati la vittoria i cosentini Flextony e Tigerplug.

Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.

L'inno di Mameli cantato da Laura Pausini in occasione dei Giochi Olimpici Invernali non smette di far discutere. Non è un caso isolato.
E' prevista per la prossima estate l'uscita del docufilm "Iron Maiden's Lost Singer", che riguarda Paul Di'Anno, cantante degli Iron Maiden dal 1978 al 1981, che è venuto a mancare a fine 2024.
