Boss Hogg Outlawz è un collettivo hip hop di Houston, Texas, fondato dal rapper Slim Thug e suo fratello Rayface. Il gruppo comprende anche Killa Kyleon, J-Dawg, Young Black, PJ Tha Rap Hustler, Chris Ward, Sir Daily e Rob Smallz, l'unico artista R and B del team. Slim Thug, dopo un periodo di collaborazione con Swishahouse, ha deciso nel 2000 di avviare la propria etichetta indipendente per avere maggiore controllo sui guadagni. Boss Hogg Outlawz ha pubblicato numerosi mixtape e album indipendenti negli anni successivi. Nel 2004, Slim Thug ha firmato un contratto con Interscope Records, mantenendo però l'indipendenza del suo label e permettendogli di continuare a pubblicare musica indipendente. Interscope ha anche distribuito a livello nazionale il disco di maggior successo del collettivo, *Already Platinum* (2005) di Slim Thug. Nel 2007, Boss Hogg Outlawz ha pubblicato *Serve and Collect* con Koch Records. Dopo alcuni problemi interni e ritardi nell'uscita del secondo album di Slim Thug, *Boss of All Bosses*, il rapper ha chiesto la risoluzione del contratto con Interscope nel 2008 per tornare alle radici indipendenti del suo label.
