Dream Theater è una band progressive metal americana formatasi nel 1985. Considerati uno dei gruppi più influenti del genere, sono noti per le loro performance live energiche e i brani complessi che combinano elementi di rock progressivo, jazz fusion e metal. Il gruppo ha pubblicato oltre dieci album in studio, tra cui "Images and Words" (1992), "Awake" (1994) e "Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory" (1998). Dream Theater è composto da James LaBrie (voce), John Petrucci (chitarra), John Myung (basso), Jordan Rudess (tastiere) e Mike Mangini (batteria). Tra i loro brani più rappresentativi figurano "Pull Me Under", "The Dance of Eternity" e "Octavarium".
