I lost my nerve the day she lost her self control
She swore to me she lost it in style
You leave the car outside for me to get away
But I think I might stay for a while
I tried it once and swore I felt a real connection
Tried it twice, convinced she could change
Third time's a charm, settled for my imperfection
Lost some of myself on the way
Now's the time, the time, the time for me
Take a step back, take me seriously
Now's the time, the time, the time you see
See what's wrong and I bet you'd agree
Oh you won't come back to haunt me
Oh you won't
I wrote it down to try and find some inspiration
This time around you think we could change
I search the words for any sort of indication
Maybe, just maybe I will say
Now's the time, the time, the time for me
Take a step back, take me seriously
Now's the time, the time, the time you see
See what's wrong and I bet you'd agree
Oh you won't come back to haunt me
Oh you won't
I don't want you coming around (here anymore)
You go without a sound (please stay silent)
In the here and now (I keep falling)
Maybe that's just how I break away
Now's the time for me
Now's the time for me
(One more time)
Now's the time, the time, the time for me
Take a step back, take me seriously
Now's the time, the time, the time you see
See what's wrong and I bet you'd agree
Oh you won't come back to haunt me
(You won't)
Now's the time, the time, the time for me
Take a step back, take me seriously
Now's the time, the time, the time you see
See what's wrong and I bet you'd agree
Oh you won't come back to haunt me
(You won't)
Oh you won't come back to haunt me
Oh you won't
