Jon Batiste è un musicista, compositore e attore statunitense nato a New Orleans nel 1986. Considerato uno dei più talentuosi artisti contemporanei, ha saputo fondere influenze jazz, funk, soul e R and B in un sound originale e coinvolgente. La sua formazione musicale inizia precocemente con lo studio del pianoforte e della musica classica, per poi abbracciare il jazz e le sonorità afroamericane di New Orleans. Ha collaborato con artisti come Prince, Stevie Wonder e Mavis Staples, dimostrando una versatilità artistica che lo ha portato a lavorare in diversi ambiti, dalla musica alla televisione (è stato musicista residente nella serie 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'). Nel 2021 ha raggiunto la fama internazionale con l'album 'We Are', vincitore di un Grammy Award per il miglior album dell'anno.
