Ay, I'm just living my truth, it's a celebration
I show and I prove, no hesitation
And I ain't scared to come new, that's half the battle (Ayy)
And all that I've been through is just a demonstration
I did it all for my kids
I live and die for my kids
That's on my kids
I do it all for my kids
Never let a broke bitch play me
I done slept on the floor with my babies
I ain't saying that shit made me
But it damn sure ain't break me, no, no
Good for it, if you owe me, I'ma look for it
Hood nigga but I'm booksmart
And it took heart, plus the homies with the hood scars
Shooting dice on the wood floors
Ay, jumped off the porch, 9-11 attacked me
Hood politics got to me before acne
This is my truth, my words match me exactly
I went to school but that trap just attract me
Track meets, I was running down them backstreets
Never did everything that they asked me
Y'all know it ain't that deep
I just need my niggas back me
Lead a horse to water while I plant seeds
Ay, who knew you'd make it this far?
You know you are who you are
You are who you are from the start
All you gon' do is evolve
Who knew you'd make it this far?
My nigga, you are who you are
You are who you are from the start
Mama done made you a star
Ooh, them streets pretty and attractive
Ooh, they lead me to bein' active
Ooh, that knockdown was just practice
Ooh, I mixed bitches with the ratchets
Ooh, a hundred percent of 'em envyin' me
Ooh, why must you pretend that you really with me?
Ooh, I did it again, to the ceiling I reached
My independence depending on who depending on me
Oh, I want my kids beaming bright like a headlight
On my kids life, there's been times I ain't play it right
Niggas'll circle 'round twice to live the square life
But die from a steel pipe in a fair fight
Right? I'm about what I write
Out of range, out of mind, out of sight
Niggas losing they spot outta spite
You can get more than life in a night
Ay, who knew you'd make it this far?
You know you are who you are
You are who you are from the start
All you gon' do is evolve
Who knew you'd make it this far?
My nigga, you are who you are
You are who you are from the start
Mama done made you a star
I'm just living my truth, it's a celebration
I show and I prove, no hesitation
And I ain't scared to come new, that's half the battle
And all that I've been through is just a demonstration
I did it all for my kids
I live and die for my kids
That's on my kids
I do it all for my kids
