Massive Attack è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Bristol nel 1987. Considerati pionieri del trip hop, hanno influenzato profondamente la musica elettronica degli anni '90 e successivi. Il gruppo è composto da Robert "3D" Del Naja, Grant "Daddy G" Marshall, e l'ex membro Mushroom. I Massive Attack sono noti per il loro sound dark e atmosferico, caratterizzato da campionamenti jazz, funk e soul, ritmi hip hop e melodie elettroniche. Tra i loro album più importanti figurano *Blue Lines* (1991), considerato un classico del trip hop, *Protection* (1994) e *Mezzanine* (1998). Il gruppo ha collaborato con numerosi artisti, tra cui Horace Andy, Shara Nelson, Elizabeth Fraser dei Cocteau Twins e Tricky. Alcuni dei loro brani più rappresentativi sono "Unfinished Sympathy", "Teardrop", "Angel" e "Risingson".
In queste ancora sonnolente giornate invernali, in cui sembra che la primavera tardi ad arrivare e la voglia di fare cose è inversamente proporzionale al desiderio di stare al caldo sotto le coperte, finalmente una gioia, anzi tre. Potrei definirlo come un trittico di gioie anche se la matrice è la stessa e riguarda uno dei miei gruppi preferiti da sempre: i Massive Attack!
Si chiama Solar Power ed è il nuovo bellissimo singolo di Lorde, scelto per dare il titolo all'album che uscirà il 20 agosto. È presentato da un'originale copertina con il seguente sottotesto "Turning it on in a new kind of bright in 2022..." come a voler significare che ci auguriamo di trovare una nuova luce in questo 2022.
